Make this Icon! Turn:
TO
1. Open a new 100 x 100 image
2. Open your image and resize it. Drag it into your 100 x 100 image.
I got:
3. Duplicate (Ctrl + J) your base and set to screen.
I got:
4. Duplicate your screen layer and set to soft light. Desaturate the soft light layer (Ctrl + Shift + U). Duplicate this layer 4 times.
I got:
5. Now go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation. Set to:
Hue
-21
Saturation
27
Lightness
-6
I got:
6. Make a new layer and fill with #F3D4C9. Set to Multiply Opacity : 80%
I got:
7. Make a new layer and fill with white (#FFFFFF). Set to soft light Opacity: 30%
I got:
8. Make yet another new layer and fill with #F3E8D8. Set to Multiply
I got:

9. Now this step is OPTIONAL. So all those who either dont have or are confused by selective colour - don't worry about it! I just liked the little effect it gave.
Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Colour

10. Now add whatever brushes, text, gradients, textures - whatever you like!!! I added a torn paper brush by
