For step 10, what do you mean "trim the image"? BTW, I love the coloring.
Kate[info]pureskies on February 16th, 2007 06:12 am (UTC)
What I meant was I made the background black and I used the select tool to make a diagonal line and delete the sides of the image so they were slightly diagonal. does that make any sense?? sorry, I am so bad at explaining!
Oh and thankyou!

Great tutorial! I am new to photoshop so this may sound like a really stupid question, but in step 3 you say Duplicate your base and set to screen. Duplicate the screen layer and set at an opacity of 50%

I managed to duplicate the base, so now I have two windows of the same picture. Now where do I click to set it to screen? And after that I duplicate the screened layer and change opacity, so that would bring it to 3 different layers right? *needs photoshop for dummies*

hehe. If I take it slow and one step at a time then I'll learn. Thanks again!

Thanks so much!!
Oh that is so not! Sorry I didn't explain that right!! What I meant was duplicate the base Layer! So sorry!!!
So yeah you should end up with a layer with just the base, a layer with a screened base and a layer with a screened base at 50% opacity!

:D I'm so sorry about that!! Good luck with Photoshop!!!My pleasure!
